Whether you're working in Adelaide's CBD, across South Australian government, or serving remote and regional communities across the state — you might be the first Indigenous professional in your organisation. Or perhaps you're not the only one, yet you're still navigating where you fit.
Everyone has opinions about who you should be. How you should represent. What your career should look like.
You have talent. You have drive. You have a way of being in and seeing the world that many workplaces are still figuring out how to value.
What you're missing: mentors who've been where you are. People who see your culture and community as your greatest strength, not something to overcome. Space to lead as yourself.
That's not because you're lacking something. It's because mainstream leadership programs were built for a different world. They ignore what makes you unique — your family, your community, your way of doing things.
What if leadership development reflected who you already are?
WHAT’S IGNITE?
Ignite is for Indigenous professionals across South Australia who are early in their career or stepping into leadership for the first time. Our Adelaide program brings you together with other Indigenous professionals from across the state who get it.
Over 2 days in Adelaide, you'll work with mentors who've walked your path and built incredible careers while staying true to their values.
You'll develop leadership that's grounded in who you already are: your purpose, your resilience, your strength, and your path forward. All through workshops designed by and for Indigenous leaders.
And you'll do it in a space where showing up as yourself isn't just welcomed – it's the whole point.
By the end, you'll have new skills, a network of people who get it, and the confidence to lead as yourself.
